Maykel grew up in Brazil and was inspired to follow in his mother’s footsteps by perusing a career in hairdressing. He later moved to Portugal and a few years later to England, where he was blessed to work with amazing and passionate stylists that helped him polish his skills. To further his training, he had the opportunity to train at Vidal Sassoon. While in London, he also had the opportunity to work in theater and fashion, photography, and for London Fashion Week. Since 2012, Maykel has found his home in Canada where his talent now resides.
